Newbold Pacey to Ashorne 4. 6 miles - Wed 17 December

It was a good walk in a very nice area. A little muddy as was to be expected.

Bascote - Ufton 4.6 miles - Wed Dec 3rd


We had a good outing followed by our annual Christmas meal. This year we had a nice meal at the Fox and Hen in Bascote Heath. There were no stiles on the walk!

Balsall Common - Bradnock's Marsh 4.2 miles

We had an enjoyable walk. The meal at Oake's farm shop was good. Some of you told me that the link to the map on the previous email was not working. Balsall Common - Bradnock's Marsh 4 miles Wed 19th Nov

Follow the A452 towards Balsall Common. Turn left at the first traffic lights into Balsall Street. After about a mile park in the access road on the left just after the pub. You are invited to join us for lunch at the CafĂ© at the farm shop You pass it just before you reach the Saracens Head on the way to the start of the walk. Leamington - Warwick 3.6 miles Wed 15 Jan

We had a good walk. No rain this time. It was mostly canal and we passed by Jubilee Wood and by St Mary's Lands to Hill Close Gardens. Sylvia had arranged for us to have coffee there. Pat provided the most delicious chocolate brownies I have ever tasted. Thanks to both.

This is a very nice walk even though it is so close to town. It can easily be lengthened. Park at the Pub/Golf club car park opposite the leisure centre.

Yarningale Common - High Cross 5 miles - Wed July 2nd

It should be a good walk. Park in the car park at Yarningale common. Can be a bit muddy in parts. There is a short steep hill right at the end and a few stiles.

Broadway - Fish Hill 4 miles - Wed 7th May 2014

A good walk.  A steep climb in the first half and a gentle descent at the end with excellent views. We had a nice lunch at Hunter's cafĂ© in Broadway.

Bascote - Southam 3.7 miles

This was a very nice walk close to Southam by the rivers Itchen and Stowe. . There are lots of paths with lots of dog walkers. Holy Well was interesting.

There were a few muddy sections

From the Southam bypass follow the A423 south towards Banbury. Turn left after about 5 miles signposted Wormleighton and Priors Hardwick. After 1 mile turn left into Wormleighton and park immediately on the right.
